My favorite coffee has cream and sugar enough that it tastes of dessert… (Or, “If you buy a Shoujo a Ko-fi”)

…want absolutely nothing to go with it but will thank you heartily.

As stated here, I’m not blogging to make a living. I started my ramblings by screaming loving thoughts on Ouran High School Host Club into the vast reaches of the internet. I did so almost out of desperation during a difficult point in life, as a release and distraction without hope that anyone would hear. I had no expectations that it would prove anything but a diversion for my own honest discourse.

Amazingly, not only did you hear, but you chose to respond.

The interaction I’ve had as a member of the anime blogging community has been nothing short of amazing, and this whole ride has been an experience unlike any other thanks to all of you enthusiastic Anime Compatriots. With my first year under my belt, I can look back on the growth of Shoujo Thoughts: Otaku Ramblings with nothing less than awe at the support I’ve received from my lovely, loyal readers. ❤

This has grown beyond my wildest dreams, and now it is time to take the next step.

My goals seem simple, and yet they are so much more than I could have imagined just over a year ago…

purchase hosting/domain name
grow my readership
hold small giveaways (soon!?)
continue to produce both high-quality and rambling content

Sadly, some of these goals require funding, and this is where ko-fi comes in.

To quote their site, “Ko-fi allows you to receive income from fans of your web content. Create your button and share it anywhere on the web. Anyone who clicks your link can support you with a with a ‘coffee’ (a small payment that is roughly equal to the price of a coffee).”

Many bloggers I know have attempted to use Ko-fi to help with their blog maintenance expenses (hosting fees, etc.), and I really like the idea because it allows a person to give support one time without feeling obligated to do so on a monthly basis.

If you’d like to support what I do, there are many ways in which you can; not all of them require monetary donation. You can share posts, leave comments, retweet my articles, and generally just be your awesome selves! If you keep reading my content as we go along this adventure together, that is my biggest thrill!
