Will your eardrums bleed? — a Shoujo Thoughts: Otaku Ramblings podcast (4)

Ooooohhhh man, I listened to Arria and tried to be a Ciel again with little success. In other news, the mentioned bloggers are as follows:

Elizabeth — Review: Snow White with the Red Hair – Part 1

Leth — LETHARGIC RAMBLE: YURI!!! ON ICE AND DEFINING A ROMANCE

Please be kind to me if my singing makes your ears bleed and just…you know, don’t crush my soul. If you hate it, let’s just pretend that it never happened, okay? (*^ ω ^;)

If my singing is fine, the following LITERAL SCREAMING over Andrew Love in his new role might do the damage I fear. ❤

(But the DiaLovers one is honestly really bad. Hehe. It kiiiinda makes me cringe. The rest seem okay, but that…ugh. This is why off the cuff is risky! lol)

Also, here is the reason I freak out at the end. You’re welcome. (^_~)

Love,

Shoujo

P.S. If you don’t want to listen to me singing in general but want to hear a specific song that you think is boss, or if you’d like to skip the singing entirely:

In unrelated news, Andrew Love liked my tweet and I asked him if I could send him fan mail and I’m over hear having a heart attack. He hasn’t responded. I hope I tagged him in the post right. (I basically have to spew this at everyone I know so that I don’t combust.)

So cute! You can use the ‘import’ feature (under the File menu) in Audacity to add extra tracks (like backing music) to a recording, and then sync them up if you’re feeling adventurous. I’m not super knowledgeable about the whole thing myself, but like most open-source programs, the documentation is really good if you know the right words to search for and don’t mind wandering through the user manual.

I just came to the depressing realisation that for some reason, my (fairly cheap) webcam mic cannot deal with the natural pitch of my voice. My husband can get way nicer results at a higher volume, but if I sing and try and record it, it just pops and clips all the time. I’m undecided as to whether I should upgrade to something more expensive just for an idle hobby though. Tough choices!
