Rules
The purpose of this tag is very simple! Describe yourself through anime! To do this you will answer all of the questions below!
After this is done you will tag 6 people to pass the tag onto! If you’re tagged for a second time you only have to tag 3 in your next post and 1 on your third attempt and should you so choose beyond.
Tell us why you nominated these people! (I shortened this step since no one was doing the other part.)
People who ask to be tagged should be added to your tag list with a link to their blog!
Remember to have fun with the tag and be proud of who you are, you are an amazing person, and the fact that so many anime and anime characters share traits with you shows you are pretty breathtaking!
Questions
- Describe a hobby or passion you have through an anime series! For example Shokugeki no Soma if you like cooking or Initial D if you like cars.
Much like Sheska from Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, I love reading! I adore a good book, and spend most of my free time with my nose buried in text! I used to be of the mindset that a person could never have too many books, so I’d buy them at library sales, yardsales, etc. even if I didn’t know I would read them! Also like Sheska, that got me into trouble because I ran out of room to store them! (I haven’t been crushed by a book avalanche, though, so I guess I’ve got that going for me!) Anyway, I finally got rid of the books that I never planned to read when we moved into our new house, so now my library is manageable again and filled with books I’ve read over the years/plan to read. 🙂

2. Simplify yourself to an Anime Archetype (Tsundere, Dojiko, Shota, Shounen-Protagonist etc) don’t overthink what an archetype is, go with your gut. Name a character that is also that Archetype.
I am a deredere Tama-chan (Hello, fellow Ouran fans!), and there’s no getting around it, really. I am ridiculously excitable, overly enthusiastic, just want to make people feel loved and happy, and it doesn’t take much to make me smile! When I love, I love at full-throttle and go all out! (For better or worse, just ask Husband! lol) This year has been rough, so I haven’t been as upbeat as usual, but generally speaking, I’m a happy, super passionate person who wants to brighten up people’s days, and I think the world is full of wonder! ❤
And I have my own mind theatre.

3. Describe your looks through comparing it with anime characters, you can decide how many!
Oh, um… hmm…
If you were going to anime-ify me, I’d end up looking similarly to Sarah Dupont from Kaleido Star but with the coloring of Fruits Basket 2001 Tohru Honda. My curls/waves and lack of bangs + side part are very much like Sarah’s hair, she’s tall-ish for a woman (like me!), we’re even similarly aged, etc. She’s the only character I’ve found who has hair the same look/texture as mine, since most anime girls either have exaggerated ringlets or straight hair. I’m oddly excited that I’ve found her, to be honest. Should I watch this show? Is there romance? I’m intrigued…
4. Describe your romantic bias and or sexuality through anime characters you find attractive. Insert the Will Smith meme from at the movies/ ta-da

5. Tell us about your day to day life and what anime that would fit into! You can be creative here!
Well, before the pandemic (and hopefully after) I taught early childhood much like Kyou Fujibayashi of Clannad ~After Story~. I loved seeing an anime character with the same occupation as me and, honestly, it means a lot to see that occupation respected! (Often in America, preschool teachers aren’t seen as real teachers, and it makes me sad because I didn’t go to school for 7 years to not be considered a teacher just because my students are young and learn through hands-on work/play.)

Anyway, Fujibayashi loves her job, and so do I! The image of her sitting and crafting with little kids at a tiny table is straight out of my life in the best way, basically. In addition, Clannad in general is slice-of-life-y, so I’d probably fit in there very well!
(Have I mentioned that I love and miss teaching? lol)
6. Describe your hopes and dreams through an anime character.
I’ll bring it back to Clannad ~After Story~ with this one, and get a little serious.
Though I’m obviously not Nagisa, and I’m not constantly on the brink of incapacitating/mortal illness (Thank goodness. Poor Nagisa…), I do have some physical issues that have made husband and I think carefully about having children.
But, like Nagisa, what I want more than anything is my own little family–one child will do, two if it works out and that’s what we decide, but I just want a happy little family with my husband (and kitties!) when we’re financially/physically/emotionally in the position to do so.

Nominations
Thank you, Yu Alexius (of Yu Alexius Anime Portal), for nominating me! I am going to nominate the following people to carry the challenge torch! I nominate them because they’re neat, interesting, and diverse!
Scott — Mechanical Anime Reviews
Irina — I Drink and Watch Anime
NegativePrimes — Curiously Deadly Cat
Jacob — Books and Pixels (Even though this is anime related, I figured you might want to do the challenge with books or games!)
Jon — Jon Spencer’s Anime Reviews
Rina — Reina Senpai Anime Closet
I knew this would be adorable and it is! I had never heard of Kaleido Star before but now I’m really intrigued. I love sports anime!
I’ve already done this one but I really appreciate the nomination!
