Dear Anime Compatriots,
I just… I just don’t know what to feel.
After everything has been said and done, the party wrapped up, the after story unlocked…
…after all the restless nights and literally heart pounding moments, the fangirl squeeling and almost falling asleep on the highway…
…I just don’t know what to do with myself now that it is over.
This experience was unlike anything else I’ve ever had with an otome. It really tested my dedication and proved that a mobile otoge can be just as (or, in my opinion, far more) immersive than a traditional PC game. [And also made me a terrible employee. (^_~) ] I couldn’t power through it all at once, but it didn’t feel as hopelessly drawn out as did the *one ticket every four hours* Shall We Date? games that had come to be my go to. I can’t wait til this summer so I can play more. (I’m not crazy enough to attempt another route just at present.)
Aside from the perfect, real-time pacing and interesting plot, I appreciated its incorporation of visual novel portions to compliment the primarily text-based game play. The game made me laugh out loud, made my heart *doki doki*, and had me on the edge of my seat, hiding in bathrooms to quickly finish chats during work hours…
Yes, yes, I know. My husband already said I was crazy, but I don’t care. Moving on…
To wrap up, Zen’s after story at 20 HG was overpriced but very necessary in order to properly feel like the route had been resolved. After all of that, you really do need the conclusion. My impressions were as follows:
- Ohhh ho ho ho, Jumin, you dog. “That, I ordered.”
- Manager??
- Oh, my gosh it’s so cute~~~~~~~~
- And so funny~~~~
- I’m not gonna lie, I wanted babies!!
- That top wasn’t low cut at all.
I don’t think that there is going to be a problem convincing myself to gun for Yoosung next to get more of the story, though he’s not really my type, and to be honest, if I’m expected to romance Jaehee, I’m proooobably not going to do that, but there you go. I’m actually really tempted just to dive into the deep route and play my other two faves, 707 and Jumin, without thought to the others, but I know that I won’t get the whole story if I do that, so I must endure.
All I want to do is play more, but I NEED to return to normal life! Back to anime and aniblogging I skip until our next excursion into the flames…
Thank you to those who stuck with my departure from the norm! I’m going to be catching up on some backlogged reading, so if you have any article recommendations, let me know in the comments below!
