I kind of get that given I only have a limited number of mecha anime I’ve ever managed to finish. As a rule the genre is not one of my favourites.

Have you tried “Full Metal Panic?” That was awful, at least for me. I started it, dropped it, and don’t ever plan on going back to it.

I actually really enjoyed Full Metal Panic. I was probably in the right frame of mind at the time but I loved the over the top school comedy coupled with the serious missions. It just worked for me when I watched it and then I fell in love with it.
