You’re sitting in your living room. It’s dark. You gaze at the Netflix titles glowing on-screen; you have seen this title referenced before.
Vampire Knight.
Zero. That was his name. The silver-haired, amethyst-eyed character you’d heard of, the one who got you interested in the show, before you stumbled across it on the streaming service. (You’d later find out that Zero was voiced by Vic Mignogina, making the character all that much more intriguing.) You saw a clip on YouTube. He was trying to battle against himself.
Everything you’ve seen indicates that this show will be a dark, supernatural, romantic, intense.
You select the first episode. And you know…
There is no turning back.
“You will be captured by those eyes. By the red.”
“Vampire Knight” is a show that seems to me like it would garner strong reactions. I propose that even those skeptical (those who, unlike me, didn’t fall in love with it after the first episode) give it a few episodes to prove itself. When a viewer gets deep into it’s complicated plot, they will find themselves hooked as they watch the dark romances unfold and try to uncover a past shrouded in mystery.
And, don’t even get me started on Season 2:”Vampire Knight, Guilty”. You won’t be able to look away.
This anime, the third title that I watched on my journey into anime, comes very very highly recommended. I finished it in a period of 2 days because I had to know what happened next.
IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE that “Vampire Knight” will only be available on Netflix until August 31st, 2016. After this date, the show will be rolled out along with some of their other titles.
Now, please excuse me while I skip off and forsake my other considerable responsibilities in order to watch my favorite bits of this amazing anime. Another hit from Studio Deen.
